Copyright and Trademark Notice Policy
Effective date: 24 October 2026
PvPScout respects the intellectual property rights of game publishers, developers, artists and everyone else, and expects our users to do the same. This policy explains how rights holders can tell us about content they believe infringes their rights, how we respond, and how users can respond if their content is removed. It covers notices under Turkish law, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) notice-and-action rules.
1. Our role
PvPScout is a directory. We do not own, operate, host or control any listed game server, and we do not host game clients or server files. Server listings, images, descriptions and reviews are submitted by users and server owners. We act as a hosting provider for that user-submitted content.
Game names, logos and other marks shown on PvPScout are trademarks of their respective owners. PvPScout is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any game publisher or developer. Names of games are used only to describe and categorise listings.
Because we do not control listed servers, we cannot shut down a third-party server, website or download. What we can do is remove or disable access to content on pvpscout.com, such as a listing, image, link or review.
2. What you can report
- Copyright: for example, your artwork, logo, screenshots, videos or text copied into a listing without permission.
- Trademarks: for example, a listing that uses your game's or company's name or logo in a way that suggests it is official or endorsed when it is not, or that impersonates your brand.
- Unauthorised use of your game: for example, a listing for a private server that you, as the rights holder, consider infringing.
- Other rights: personality rights, privacy or unfair competition. Personal data issues can also be sent to privacy@pvpscout.com.
3. How to send a notice
Send your notice to abuse@pvpscout.com (subject: "Copyright notice" or "Trademark notice"), or by post to [ŞİRKET UNVANI / COMPANY NAME], [ADRES / ADDRESS]. Please write in Turkish or English and include:
- Your details: full name, company (if any), postal address, email address and phone number.
- Your authority: whether you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf (for example, a lawyer or agent), with proof of authority where possible.
- The protected work or mark: a description of the copyrighted work or the trademark, and where possible registration numbers, countries and links to official sources.
- The exact location of the content on PvPScout: the full URL(s) of each listing, image or review. A link to the homepage or a general search is not enough.
- Why it infringes: a clear explanation of why you believe the content infringes your rights.
- A good-faith statement: "I have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law."
- An accuracy statement: "The information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorised to act on behalf of the owner, of the rights that are allegedly infringed."
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Points 6 to 8 are required for notices under the US DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)). For notices under Turkish law or the EU DSA, please include the same information so we can act quickly; incomplete notices may delay our response.
Please be accurate. Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a materially false claim may be liable for damages. Under Turkish and EU law, abusive or manifestly unfounded notices may also have consequences, and we may stop processing notices from people who repeatedly send them.
4. What we do after receiving a notice
- We confirm receipt, usually within 2 business days.
- We review the notice. If it is complete and the claim appears valid, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the content. Depending on the case, we may remove an image or text, edit or hide the listing, or remove the listing entirely.
- We inform the user or server owner who posted the content, explain what was removed and why, and tell them how they can respond. Where required by law (such as the EU DSA), this explanation includes the reasons for our decision and the options for challenging it.
- We may share the notice, or a version with your personal contact details removed, with the affected user so they can understand and respond to it.
- We keep records of notices and actions taken.
If a notice is incomplete or does not show an infringement, we will tell you what is missing or why we did not act.
5. Counter-notices and appeals
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, for example because you own the rights, have a licence or the use is lawful, you can send a counter-notice or appeal to abuse@pvpscout.com within 30 days. Please include:
- your name, address, email address and username;
- the content that was removed and where it appeared;
- why you believe the removal was a mistake, with any evidence (such as a licence or permission);
- for DMCA counter-notices: a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which PvPScout may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice; and your physical or electronic signature.
For valid DMCA counter-notices, we will forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the content between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
For other appeals, a member of our team who was not involved in the original decision will review it where possible, and we will let both sides know the outcome. Users in the EU may also have access to certified out-of-court dispute settlement bodies under the DSA. Nothing in this policy prevents either side from going to court.
6. Repeat infringers
We will hide listings and suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing content, in appropriate circumstances.
7. Turkish law
For rights holders in Turkey, we handle notices in line with the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846, the Industrial Property Law No. 6769 and the hosting provider rules of Law No. 5651 on the regulation of internet publications. Rights holders may also apply to the competent courts or authorities directly. If we receive a decision from a competent Turkish court or authority, we will comply with it within the legal time limits.
8. Requests from game publishers
We understand that publishers may object to private servers for their games. If you are a publisher and want a listing removed, please send a notice as described above, identifying the specific listings and the rights relied on. We review each request individually and act on valid notices.
9. Designated agent
Notices can be sent to our designated contact:
