This Cookie Policy explains how PvPScout ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage on pvpscout.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be:
- first-party, set by pvpscout.com, or third-party, set by another service such as Google or Stripe;
- session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay for a set period.
Our approach
- We only use essential cookies and storage without asking, because the site cannot work properly without them.
- Preference storage remembers choices you make, such as your language.
- Advertising cookies from Google are only set after you give consent in our cookie banner.
- Our analytics are cookieless: Vercel Web Analytics measures visits in aggregate without placing cookies to track you across sites.

Advertising and Google
We show ads through direct-sold banners and Google AdSense.
- If you accept advertising cookies, Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to show personalised ads based on your interests.
- If you decline, we may still show non-personalised ads. Google may use limited data for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregate reporting, as described in Google's policies.
- For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we ask for consent in line with applicable law and Google's requirements.

Direct-sold banners on PvPScout are served by us and do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Premium members browse without ads, so advertising cookies are not needed for them.
Sign-in with Google or Discord
If you choose to sign in with Google or Discord, you will be redirected to that provider, which may set its own cookies on its own domain according to its policies.
Managing your choices
- Cookie banner: when you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and some features will not work.
- Global Privacy Control: where technically supported, we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of personalised advertising.
Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies that were already used lawfully before withdrawal, but we will stop setting new non-essential cookies, and you can delete existing ones in your browser.
Legal basis
Essential cookies are used because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you request (and, under the KVKK and GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interests and the performance of our contract with you). Advertising cookies are used only on the basis of your consent (explicit consent under the KVKK, consent under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules).
Changes
We may update this policy when we add or remove tools. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
